EcoGrab Pvt Ltd is proud to have partnered with Project Coast 4.0 as an Official Gold Partner, reinforcing our commitment to environmental sustainability and youth-led climate action. Organized by AIESEC in NSBM, this impactful coastal cleanup and awareness campaign took place on 28th June 2025 at Wellawatte Beach, uniting volunteers under a common purpose – to protect and restore our marine ecosystems.
About Project Coast 4.0
Project Coast 4.0 is a community-driven initiative designed to contribute toward two key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
- Goal 14: Life Below Water
- Goal 13: Climate Action
With activities such as beach cleanups, public engagement, and educational discussions, the project highlighted the urgent need to reduce plastic pollution, protect marine life, and encourage sustainable practices among communities and youth.
EcoGrab’s Role as a Gold Partner

We are proud to stand behind impactful, youth-driven initiatives like Project Coast 4.0 that work toward real environmental change.
Reflections from the Ground
During the cleanup, we observed something both fascinating and alarming. Barnacles had attached themselves to discarded rubber slippers and plastic containers washed up on the beach. These tiny marine animals play a critical role in filtering water and maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems. Their presence on human waste is a stark reminder of how pollution is altering natural habitats in harmful and unnatural ways.

By the end of the cleanup, volunteers had collected over 30 large bags of waste, including shattered glass bottles, Styrofoam, and countless single-use plastics. The scene spoke volumes about the lasting impact of careless disposal.

Seeing this firsthand emphasizes why initiatives like Project Coast 4.0 are so important. While cleanups help heal the damage, long-term change depends on raising awareness and shifting behaviors from individuals, communities, and businesses alike.
Moments That Matter
The event was filled with energy, unity, and purpose. From collecting and segregating coastal waste to engaging in meaningful conversations about marine conservation, every moment served as a reminder that small actions can lead to powerful change.
