Brett and Carla’s wild adventure began with a scenic journey from Arugambay, leading them deep into the heart of the wilderness. That evening, they entered Yala National Park’s Block 1, renowned for its magnificent elephant gatherings and breathtaking sunset landscapes. After an incredible sighting of a herd near a tranquil lake, they settled into their private bungalow, nestled deep within the park. As night descended, they were enveloped by the captivating sounds of the jungle and a sky ablaze with stars, far removed from the city’s hustle and bustle.
The next morning, a thrilling safari awaited them. They were greeted by graceful spotted deer, vibrant peacocks, and exciting signs of a nearby leopard. After a hearty breakfast, their journey continued to Block 5, one of Yala’s more serene and untouched regions. With fewer jeeps and expansive open landscapes, their evening safari felt like their very own private wild theatre. Dinner that night was an unforgettable experience, served outdoors under a vast, star-filled sky – simple, peaceful, and truly magical.
On their final morning, the couple embarked on one last sunrise drive. With a bit of luck and patience, they discovered fresh leopard tracks and glimpsed rare birdlife in the trees above. After enjoying breakfast back at camp, Brett and Carla were transferred to Colombo. They left feeling completely recharged and inspired, carrying with them incredible stories they’ll undoubtedly share for years to come.
